Back to the working world!

Lots to catch up on for our little man!  He is starting to roll over, he moved into his OWN room :(, and plays ALL day... with little cat naps here and there!  We have been having the best time together!  I am trying to make the most of the remaining days of summer. Work is approaching by the hour.

This video, if it works :) , is of Fox trying to roll over!! He is so close!  Now, I must backtrack.  He has been rolling over...just only in his crib.  He is sneaky and doesn't perform for his mommy and daddy when we prompt him.  So, we have been patiently waiting to see him attempt rolling over on his own.  (don't think we didn't roll him ourselves though... simulating the real thing for him... practice, if you will :) )

He enjoys reaching for his hanging toys on his play mat.  Well, he pretty much swipes them randomly, but it is adorable nonetheless.

This was the last nap/time Fox slept in his pack n play...  I didn't sleep for the next 3 nights!! I just cried and stared at the monitor making sure my bog boy was breathing juuuuuust right... and that he didn't cry out for his mama.  And sure enough... he never did.  He is the bravest little guy I know!  He loves his crib!  We literally feed him a bottle and IF he actually makes it through the whole bottle without falling asleep, we snuggle him real good and then place him in his crib and he puts himself to sleep.  However, he does have a sleeping aid to keep him comfortable in his crib; his thumb!  I know, I KNOW!  but we will be able to break him of the thumb-sucking one day... rriiigghhtt?!

Sweeite sleeping his first night away from mommy and daddy!

Of course, he can still fall asleep at the drop of a hat :)  He can probably climb Mount Everest, as long as he has that thumb, he is limitless :)  #neithermommynordaddysuckedtheirthumbs #iblamehisgodmother

Since my summer is coming to an end, we have tried to keep a nightly routine with Fox.  We play, we bathe, we get in our jammies, we eat, then we sleep.  So far, so good!  He is just like his daddy, he likes a schedule!

This summer was a whirlwind!  Fox kept my days quite busy!  While school hasn't yet begun, my hours have already started.  I relocated from teaching in Richardson ISD to Frisco ISD and am now 9 minutes away from Fox's school!  Such a convenience being so close to him!  Frisco ISD also releases at 2:50, meaning I get to leave at 3:20... do the math! If I hustle, I can get to my lovie by 3:30!  He will start his school on September 1st.  Until then... he will be rocking and rolling with his Mallie!  (Thank you, Mal, for the countless hours you will spend with your grandson!  I promise, he will always cherish his one-on-one time with you!)

Mallie is so good about sending me Fox Selfies while I am in Professional Developments :)

Never one to shy away form sawing logs.

 More selfies!

He even helped his Godmother study for her lactation certification exam.

He has become such an inquisitive little man and quite the narcissist. He just adores his own reflection!  Can't say I blame him!

Fox's first Frisco Rough Rider's Game!!  He made it almost 7 innings!  Thank goodness, that TX can have 100 degrees one day and 70 the next :)  It was a beautiful evening to be outside!

Who wouldn't love snuggles from Dallie!  One day, Fox will complete the Rough Rider's "cycle" of food like his Dallie; a hotdog, burger, chicken sandwich and rounding it out with a brat- I can't leave out the popcorn, peanuts, and baked chips along the way!  It is a great tradition!

"To Maw Maw's House We Go"

We survived our 2nd flight with Fox.  I am not sure how we have been so lucky to have flown with a sleeping baby, but I won't question it.  I will just be grateful he is a trooper!  We went to visit more family in Charlotte.  This was Fox's first meeting with Maw Maw and Paw Paw, his Godfather, Tony, his Aunt Sue, baby LILY (via ultrasound) and countless other friends and family!  Everyone just ate him up!  He loved getting to hold and snuggle new friends!

First impressions! Fox finally meets Maw Maw and Paw Paw.

The rest is history.  He snuggled her the whole day!

Paw Paw couldn't get enough!

Priceless!  4 generations of Lingerfelt's!

 Snuggles at Maw Maw's!

I think she would have held him all day!

We are blessed to have family and friends that truly love our baby.  Fox is lucky, indeed, to have the most amazing Godfather.  Tony cooked an incredible meal for us.  Thank you again, Tony, for hosting us!  Here are a few snaps from our day at the Hunsucker's.

I have to mention that the adorable duds my Fox Man is wearing here came from Afi and Tony!  Thanks guys, for keeping my buddy hip in his sleeveless muscle shirt!

He was head over heels for Afi!

Sweet boys!

Tony's dad, Tim, loved his snuggles!

My sweet boy played so hard he crashed on Tony.

But the snuggles with Tony didn't end there!  Tony came over to Lauren's to get some cuddles with both of my boys!

All my boys!

I'm hoping Tony will pass on his swag to buddy when he gets older.

Fox got to enjoy the BEST sushi in Charlotte, EEZ, with all of our buddies!  Cute picture!  I can't say it enough... we are so blessed to have so much love poured over our little man!

America!

Fox enjoyed his first July 4th with lots of sleeping, eating and swimming!  We had a fun filled day with the Barkers and Fox's girlfriend, Sophie's, family.

Thank you, Aunt Tippy, for my cool July 4th shirt!

I mentioned all of the sleeping that took place. :)

Preparing to eat... nom nom nom

Sleeping off his food coma.

And back to the party!

Fox is always ready for some snuggles with daddy!

The fourth was fantastic.  So glad we got to share it with family and friends.  Next year, we will be sure to actually take pictures of our family and friends :)

Not too long after we celebrated the 4th, we got to celebrate Fox turning 3 months old!  Where has the time gone!  (Knock on wood) Fox is currently sleeping 11-12 hours a night!!  (and really has been for a few weeks now) He is rolling over in his crib, so we have moved him into his sleep sacks.  So long swaddles!

We love how snuggly Fox is with our friends and family.  We have decided that if he grabs and pats your face, he is telling you that he loves you.  Jon and Julie came over to hang out with Little Man.  They claimed they wanted to grill out with Daniel and I, but we knew they really wanted to get their hands on buddy.  Who could blame them... have you seen those cheeks!!

Fox DEFINITELY grabbed and patted both Jon and Julie's face before he fell asleep!  I must say, he has good taste in friends!

Fox meets ocean

We successfully made it to Jacksonville, FL on our first flight with buddy.  He was awake and alert the entire way through security and then zonked during the entire flight.  He got to witness the circus act, though. I will say, major props to all you mommies out there traveling with multiple kiddos... especially some of you doing it solo (shout out Rachey!)

Of course, Fox loved every minute of his Aunt La La !  She is nonstop entertainment.  Notice his stance.  He has always, form Day 1, tried to stand on his own two feet.  I gotta say, I love his enthusiasm for independence, but I hope to hold onto him for many more months before he becomes mobile and never looks back.

Jacksonville had plenty of perks, from family, to mini golf, to seafood, to the BEACH!  It is always difficult living far away from family, but nice knowing we are able to fly for just a few hours and you are THERE... totally worth it!  It felt like our short visit was jammed packed with fun!

Here are a few snapshots from the first baba, to mini golf, to Fox's first dip in the Atlantic Ocean!

Fox loves his Cici!!

Fox actually stayed awake the entire game... well, until we left early because it was so humid and hot out there.  :)

Both Redford and Zoe were quite protective over Fox the whole visit.  Zoe would hardly let him leave her sight.  I woke up in the mornings to find one of them laying by our door.  Sweet doggies.

The moment has come... time for the BEACH!  Fox is dressed and ready to go!  I am obsessed with those cheeks!

Buddy loved the water, but it wore him out.  He took a looooong snooze under the tent on a blanket on the sand.  Lovely!  That is where Fox and I parked it pretty much the entire day!  Nothing better than snuggles on the beach.
One major perk to the Jacksonville beaches is being able to park your car on the beach.  The AC in the car gave Fox and I a relaxing break from the sun.  Cici joined us for a selfie.

Daniel sharpened his fishing skills in hopes of passing down his love for fishing to Fox.  Living so close to a lake now, I certainly hope these boys take many fishing trips together!

We lived it up in Jacksonville that trip.  It was quick, but full of memories!  Cici got her snuggle time in, for sure !

And who else should give the last baba of the trip besides Fox's Cici.

Thank you Cici and Papi for a fantastic visit! xoxo
