Taking it to the Streets!

Fox and I finally set out for our first run! What a DOOZIE it was.  To say 'it has been a while' is an understatement. Fox enjoyed his breezy ride.  He cooed and smiled real big when I would hit a good stride, however that was not so easy to maintain for long. :)

Fox got to enjoy one of his FIRST playgroup Friday activities!  We met the playgroup at the Frisco Science Discovery Center! Fox got to look up a HUGE nose with Liam and Bryn!

Fox stayed in his stroller for the majority of the time, but I could tell he was learning SO much! haha
The most fun might have been our MASSIVE playgroup lunch out!  We all gathered around one table at one of my favorite local lunch spots!  Thank you 5th Street Patio Cafe for tolerating our crazy big and sweet party of kiddos!!
(fox is the little one off to the left in his car seat sitting facing the window :) )

After a long day of playing, Fox was worn out!  We went home to take a relaxing bath... ahhhhh.  Now he smells like fresh Mustella (my favorite bathing products!)

He is just such an active little guys these days.  He hardly stays still for long!

The Barker's home has been our new weekend HOT SPOT!  Thank you Barkers for letting us crash your pad to party!  We have become obsessed with the app game "Heads Up!"  So fun!  Fox is a great sport.  He sleeps while we play games :)

And as always, lots of time for smooches and cuddles!!

Lippers, Nora, Smiles OH MY!

Lippers is coming!

 Lippers is COMING!!!!!

"I must look 'fresh' for Lippers, mommy!"

Fox and I had a weekend without Daddy, while he was attending Fox's Godfather, Tony's wedding!  Luckily, Fox and I were only solo 2 nights before Auntie Lippers came to stay with us for the Memorial Day weekend!!  (for the record, Lippers is my best friend, Candace, from College.  She has became part of the fam from day 1)

Welcome Lippers!

Fox is already a ladies' man!

The same weekend as Lipper's visit was Nora's FIRST birthday party!  Due to her OBSESSION with socks, Nora had a "Sock Hop!" We all dressed up and played music from the era!  It was a blast.  We snapped tons of pictures of the kids all dolled up.  Here are a few of my little 'greaser.'

I couldn't believe that Bryn fit into my old Oxford 'Saddle' Shoes for the party!  The kids looked GREAT!

Bring on the SMILES!  This has been a couple weeks in progress.  Fox is finally social smiling!

Check out his progress in the next 3 photos.  We are close...
 Closer....
YAHOO!!!  There it is! What a sweetie!

Here is a video capturing Fox's BIG smiles.  It is near impossible right now to capture Fox's smile on a camera.  He is so quick and sneaky with them!  I finally got smart and videoed him!

Out with the Mama, In with the Babysitters!

I have said from the beginning of this pregnancy with Fox that I am thankful for having family so close by ! What a difference it makes! Mallie is absolutely amazing about rearranging every plan she had previously made to watch Fox Man so I can run errands.  She is a lifesaver! Dallie got to watch baby Fox while the girls got our nails done.  Mallie, Emily and I had a relaxing mani/pedi. Just lovely!

Daniel is always up for one-on-one time with Fox Man.

Emily and I got to attend a cooking class, compliments of Nicky B's Mother's Day gift!  It was all Greek dishes and they were quite good.  We both took away resourceful cooking techniques more than anything else!  We are now properly trained in how to hold a knife when slicing, how to mince fresh garlic and how to grate... any veggie! (disclaimer: grating veggies is a massive arm workout)

The Barkers babysat baby Fox while Daniel and I had our first date night! It was a monumental moment because I actually had my first adult beverage !! It was a refreshing hand crafted Grapefruit Rickey!  Glorious!  I had my one and I was content!  Thank you Barker Bots!

Bryn is a natural!!

Yummy!!!! While Lynn wasn't babysitting, she often gets to enjoy Fox while we lunch with the ladies!!

When Mallie was out of town, Emily helped me out so I could make an appointment without little man.  Little did I know, I was giving Emily the credit for babysitting when it was really these two Pros who handled my buddy with TLC!

Thanks Liam and Brynnie!

A quick (belated) birthday shout out to Fox's Godfather, Tony!  He recently got married to the wonderful Ms. Afi! We can't wait to snuggle Mr. and Mrs. Hunsucker this summer!

One Month Old! annnnd our First Mother's Day!

Time fliiiiiieeeeessss! My boy is one month old!

At one month, Fox loves to snuggle with daddy...

 wiggling and moving all over...
swinging in his big boy swing...

 snuggling with Mallie...
 sleeping... ANYWHERE...

and smiling! Well... he is starting to smile!

Happy Mother's Day!!  I can't believe I am celebrating my first Mother's Day.  It was just perfect!  Daniel and Fox got me a shopping spree to Lululemon (for new chic workout wear) and Anthropologie (for new NONmaternity clothes)!  Thank you boys!

Fox decided to get formal for the day's events!  We began at The Original Pancake House.  One of the other babies may have blown out her cutsie outfit (baby NoNo), but the food was EXCELLENT!  Plenty of pancakes to go around!

After brunch, we relaxed and enjoyed the rest of our afternoon.  It could not have been a better day!!!  I'm so happy to share it with all the great mommies in my life near and far!!

Typical week for Mr. Fox

Fox LOOOOOVES driving in the car.  He enjoys staring out the window (especially, when the weather is overcast or rainy)  More than sushine, he loves watching and listening to the rain.  He definitely has his daddy's keen ear for all audio in his surrounding environments; rain, bath water, tv, cousins, records, the list goes on.

The Barker Bots invited Fox to Story Time!  He got to listen to all of the stories and songs.  I can't wait for him to learn the songs and sing them on his own, just like his older cousins!

Traditionally, the Barkers feed the ducks in the pond behind the library after each story time.  This was pretty cool.  There were  tons of ducks and a few rebel ducks that were on the chase for more food.  Bryn and Liam showed Fox and Nora how to be brave and throw bread at the ducks.  They are pros!

With every day comes more growth, more CHUNK and more to LOVE!  Fox moved from his sponge bath to a big boy bath!  I was nervous to see how he would react to the big bath.  I made the mistake of turning the water off once the tub was full.  Fox cried when the water stopped, so I quickly turned it back on and he was a happy baby.  Lesson learned! Again, he likes to observe the water falling from the spout and hearing the sounds of the water hitting the tub.

Every day Fox takes a long morning nap...usually in the company of his mama! (I'm taking advantage while I can)  We get up, get dressed, guzzle the Vitamin D supplement and head out on our daily errands or play date.  When we get home, we do tummy time and I often take pictures or videos of Fox's sweetness!  Here is one cute one!

We end our nights with a baba from daddy and loads of snuggles!!!  I wouldn't change one moment I get to spend with Fox.
